ABOUT ANDREW

Andrew Dyet is a sound artist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist who’s work exists at the intersection of acoustic, electric, classical, and noise; focusing on creating moments that expand in time, often growing into complex, deep worlds before returning to reality. He has performed as a trumpet player, pianist, percussionist, and laptop musician in solo and ensemble settings. Andrew has been commissioned by soloists and ensembles across North America and has participated in several artist-in-residency programs across the globe.

Most recently, Andrew’s installation work was shown in Cleveland, OH as a part of the 2023 Re:Sound Experimental Music Festival. He also performed as a part of the duo Terminal Moraine for Re:Sound. In March, 2022, Andrew was an artist-in-residence at Chateau D’Orquevaux in Champagne, France alongside sound artist and collaborator Abigail Johnson. Together, they completed “The Atmos Box,” a sound sculpture that is permanently installed at Chateau D’Orquevaux.

Andrew Dyet is completed his MFA degree in Experimental Sound Practices at the California Institute of the Arts in 2021. He holds a double bachelor’s of music in Music Composition and Music History & Literature from the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music.
